Almost Looks Like We’ll Be Flying High

Our little dinosaur has been crook for the past couple of months. But today she finally showed signs of looking a little livelier and that she may soon be flying high again. It might just be the heat–we’re expecting a top of 35 degrees–but she’s, well, chirpier.

Dino is now huddled in the top of my shirt, which has been her haven during the time her stomach became upset in April from eating too much human food. She also had an infected bum. Her once prodigious pooping slowed to a squeeze. And she looked listless and lethargic.

But she’s unleashing loads today, suggesting the medicine she’s been taking (at great expense in terms of time and money for Mrs. Kangaeroo) may finally be working.

Wish I could say the same about my own ailments, which continue to plague me, albeit on a minor level with no great effect on my lifestyle…yet.

  • Mondayitis….Every Day!

Monday is gloomy and depressing in my soul-sucking job, with today being particularly so because I am the sole native English speaker working and we are inundated with work and every effort I make berated for its shortcomings. I woke feeling painfully gloomy, was shortly greeted by a Zodiac reading forecasting an awful day, my Wahoo didn’t work, and I just can’t spark myself to get into action. Yet, I was blessed on the morning ride. The full beaver moon setting over the Tama River was simply breathtaking. I stopped before starting and went back to pick up a real camera so I could capture it’s beauty (but made the…

  • Reflective

More and more is going on to inspire reflection on life. It’s a constructive development. Life is good when life exists. Realizing it’s good is another matter. Fortunately, for various reasons, it’s becoming easier to find elements of all things to contain the pleasant. It’s not my nature to do this, yet I am finding myself doing it more often. What luck!

  • Pushing the Paws Button

Even by the generally lousy standard of 2024, this morning was a pretty rotten one in some ways, yet even that couldn’t deter gaining pleasure from our kangaroo paw. The flowers have hit peak bloom. They bring me unbridled delight. I’ve still got hope some of the plants we have that are yet to flower will eventually bloom, too. I’m delighted these flowers have grown from seeds I got in my home town. Having been able to share the plants with friends and neighbors has also been wonderful. Some of my friends have grown plants even more magnificent than ours. But I am ecstatic that we have produced flowers of…

    豪キャブラリー: Lob
