Waking Up Early Helps Dreams Come True

I don’t want to sound like I’m virtue signaling or anything like that, but my experience has been that the more active I am in the early morning, the greater the likelihood that I’ll gee myself up into being a decent person and go about making the most of the day.

It’s helped a lot in the past few days that we have had simply astounding weather in Tokyo, with glorious sunrises (and sunsets), creating spectacular views.

And I’m aslo blessed today because Mrs. Kangaeroo has kicked me out of the kitchen and is cooking up a storm for us to dine with a group of former co-workers for lunch today.

It will be wonderful to catch up, especially as it looked like we would not be able to host anyone this year due to a variety of duties and responsibilities taking over our weekends.

Being momentarily exiled and having some time on my hands, it was a chance to blog.

Dino had scared me as I’d heard her chirp in distress many times during the night, but she seemed fairly active when I eventually let her out of her cage.

She is parked on her food box inside the cage now, sleeping deeply. Her struggles and my incapacity to do anything more about them are breaking my heart.

But the glorious start to the day and the prospects of meeting great friends (and scoffing down delicious dishes) makes my heart a bit lighter.
