How Did An Australian Koala Conquer Japanese Bedrooms?

Koala reading a book

Australians know koalas love sleeping.

One Australian company turned that idea into a global business.

Koala launched in Australia in 2015 with mattresses sold directly to consumers. It expanded into Japan just two years later.

The timing was bold. Japanese customers already had high expectations for quality and comfort. Koala responded with products designed for compact homes and modern lifestyles. Its Australian identity remained central. The company uses Australia’s iconic marsupial as its brand while promoting simple design and sustainable materials.

Today, Koala has become one of Australia’s best-known lifestyle brands in Japan. It proves Australian design can find a comfortable home overseas.

The request was answered, and the relationship between Matsudo and what is now the City of Whitehorse in Melbourne gradually developed. In 1971, the two cities formally became sister cities. Kangaroo House Aims To Make Everyone A Hero

Kangaroo House is a group home facility in Kaizuka, Osaka Prefecture, that aims to make everyone a hero. Kangaroo House is operated by Cangaroo K.K. It is registered as a residential support service for people with intellectual, mental, or physical disabilities. It’s hard to track down information on this Kangaroo House, a name given to many organizations in Japan, and I don’t know why it chose a kangaroo as the symbol of its group home services, caring for residents with various disabilities and providing daily life support. As noted in many posts, Japanese companies often use a kangaroo to symbolize their operations because the marsupial’s pouch commonly symbolizes protection and…

Claude the koala eats thousands of nursery seedlings intended for NSW wildlife corridor (英語)

Kangaroos K.K. operates a handful of different businesses, none of them with a direct relationship with either Australia or marsupials, but there’re are plenty of peas in this macropod.
