豪キャブラリー： Chunder
Chunderは、一時的にオージー英語の有名な例として一世風靡した言葉である。 Chunderを有名としたのは1980年代前半世界中に大ヒットしたMen at Work曲Down Underのコーラスに現れたことだった。たまたまchunderはunderと同音であり、同曲の歌詞によるとオーストラリア（ようするにダウン・アンダー）では男がやるのはchunderだった。しかし、chunderっていったいなんだろう？実は「吐く」ということだ。 Chunderが歌詞となっているMen at Workのプロモーション・ビデオをご覧になってオージー英語の勉強にもなるかもしれないね、、、 朝から気持ち悪い話をして申し訳ない。
