オーストラリア北部クィーンズランドにロボットな恐竜約150頭を設置する、と豪最も裕福なビジネスマン一人が4月8日発表した。
億万長者クライブ・パーマー氏(59)はオーストラリア有数なお金持ちであり、自身が所有しているパーマークーラムリゾートでは約150頭の中国製ロボット恐竜をリゾート内のあらゆるところに設けると言った。
「ジェフ」と呼ばれているティラノザウルス1頭を含めて同リゾート内ゴルフコースには既に2頭の恐竜があり、いずれも鳴き声など音がだし、動ける。
パーマー氏によるとリゾート内で置く恐竜すべて音を出すようにし、動けるものも作ると言う。
同氏は、昨年あの有名な客船タイタニック号のそっくり版「タイタニックII号」を作成した。
「俺が死ぬまでに持っている金を使わなくちゃ」とコメントした。同氏の全財産が約8億豪ドル(約796億円)とされている。パーマー氏が主に鉱業と纏わっている。
