Agro
Agro is the Strine word for aggressive, or aggression. It is an abbreviation of those commonly used English words. Agro can also be used in noun form to describe a fight.
Agroというストラインは「怒っている」や「攻撃的な」という意味で。名詞としても使えるので、その場合「殴り合い」や「喧嘩」という意味になる。

やばいリンガル：Funnel Web Spider
オーストラリアは猛毒生物の宝庫として知られているが、弁護士、政治家、鉱山王、フィッシュ＆チップス屋の連中という強力なライバルを押しのけて、最凶の座をかろうじて勝ち取っているのが「ジョウゴグモ(funnel web spider)」だ。 そして驚くべきことに、このちっこいクモが主に生息しているのは、シドニー：昔から “Sin City（罪の街）” と呼ばれてきた街の周辺である。 Australia is known for its deadly fauna and despite fierce competition from lawyers, politicians, mining magnates, fish and chip shop operators, just scraping in as the most venomous of all of Australia’s creepy crawlies is the funnel web spider. After the Apocalypse….
We’ve just had a wonderful weekend enjoying the pleasures of the Tama Hills Recreation Area, which combines luxurious quarters with wild, somewhat terrifying scenery reminiscent of what a world without humans might look like. It’s the latter that continues to delight me in the bi-annual visits we’ve been fortunate to make over the past decade or so, though such opportunities may about to draw to a close. We will enjoy them while we can, though.

Op shop Australian English A second-hand store where the proceeds of sales are often donated to charity. An abbreviation of “opportunity shop,” with the name coming from the chance its beneficiaries get to lead a regular lifestyle. 日本語 中古品店・リサイクル店のことが、ほとんどの場合、運営及び売上がチャリティーのために行っている。Op shopは、opportunity shopの省略だ。直訳すると「機会の店」だ。由来は、お店の売り上げによって、苦しんでいる人々が普通に生活できる「チャンス」が与えられる。 Plain English Thrift store. 豪キャブラリー：Coathanger
Coathangerは、オージー英語の中では驚くほど多くの使い方がある。当然、英・米語と同じように「ハンガー」という意味に加えて「腕を伸ばして逆方向から来ている人を意図的にぶつける」という使い方も（主にスポーツ）ある。 おまけ、オーストラリアのシンボルのひとつであるシドニー・ハーバー・ブリッジのニックネームがcoathangerである。その由来は、同橋がハンガーに似ているから来たのだ。
豪キャブラリー： Boardies
オーストラリアは、サーフィンの文化が根強く社会に浸透している。サーフィン文化の影響の最も分かりやすい例がおそらく服装にあるのではないか？夏になるとＴシャツとboardiesが国民服のようなものとなる。 オージー英語らしくboardiesはboard shortsの省略だ。ちなみに、board shortsのboardは、サーフボードのボードが由来だ。
