There’s probably not an Aussie schoolkid who has never sung the words, “It’s a long way to the shop if ya wanna sausage roll,” a derivative of lyrics from Acca Dacca‘s 1976 hit “Long Way To The Top.” I get to live out that lyric today, getting on my bike and heading along the Tama River on a 50 kilometer-plus journey in 35 degree heat to get stuck into an absolutely scrumptious homemade sausage roll from Punk Doily.

たぶん、オーストラリアの子どもで「ソーセージロールが欲しけりゃ、店まで遠いぜ」って歌ったことがない子はいないんじゃないかな。1976年に出たAC/DC（アッカ・ダッカ）の名曲「Long Way to the Top」の替え歌だね。今日はその歌詞どおりの一日。自転車に乗って、多摩川沿いを50キロ以上走って、気温35度の中、Punk Doilyの絶品手作りソーセージロールにかぶりつくんだ。

Punk Doily, a friend of the kangaeroo.com site because of its role in boosting Japan-Australia relations, is an Aussie cake and cake shop in Oyamadai. It sells a range of homemade pies, sausage rolls and cakes with an authentic Aussie flavor. It also offers a selection of Aussie and other beverages to wash down its delightful dishes.

Punk Doilyは、オーストラリアと日本の交流を盛り上げてくれている、オーストラリアのケーキ屋さん。尾山台にあって、手作りのパイやソーセージロール、ケーキを本場の味で出してくれる。オージーの飲み物もいろいろあって、料理と一緒に楽しめるんだ。

Each offering is a hearty meal in itself, which makes the trip to Punk Doily absolutely worth it.

Today is also a bigger bonus, because after I scoffed down the sublime sausage roll, I picked up a couple of lammies that Mrs. Kangaeroo and I will enjoy after dinner tonight.
