A Turn For The Worse

Professional life has become crushing. This has turned out to be a really lousy year.

I was determined to make my cycling goals this year, but now have to focus on saving my job.

It should have been a triumphant time. It was a magnificent year for cycling, as my stats attest.

Now I am being punished and penalized for things the company used to praise me for.

Clearly there is a concerted effort to get rid of me.

If only I had somewhere to go.

It has been a cruel end to what should have been a great year. Same thing for the Tigers, I guess.

The Tragic Tale Of A Japanese-Australian Wallaby Who Became A Symbol Of Mateship

なぜ日系オーストラリア人のワラビーズ選手は「仲間」の象徴になったのでしょうか? A Wallaby Called “Blow” 「ブロー」と呼ばれたワラビー Winston Phillip James Ide was born in Sydney in 1914 to an Australian mother, Clara, and Japanese-born father Henry Hideichiro Ide. Nicknamed “Blow” as a child, he became a talented rugby player, representing New South Wales and Queensland before playing two Tests for Australia against the All Blacks in 1938. From rugby field to battlefield ラグビー場から戦場へ Ide was selected for the 1939 Wallabies tour of Britain. • Ideal Workday Weather

Today is bleak. Weather is debilitating. It’s drizzling, bleak, wet and cold. Perfect for work … if you have to work indoors. (Not too good for those who earn a living outside, though) It’s too wet to ride, to do much outside to be honest, but not wet enough to fully rule out any activities under the skies. This kind of weather does my head in. Kangaeroo has also just switched employers, so there is a massive amount of stress and the fear of the unknown. Transition is not moving altogether smoothly, either. One bonus of not being able to ride was getting to take a walk. And Kangaeroo is…

No Wonder the Wallabies Were Wallies in RWC2019

Australia’s rugby team, the Wallabies, were ignominiously dumped from the 2019 Rugby World Cup that Japan is currently hosting (and being lauded for both its organization skills and the rousing performance of its unfancied team). The Wallabies lost badly to England in a quarter final, mostly because they were not good enough as a team. But Kangaeroo.com has also discovered another reason for the Wallabies’ woes. Gorgeous Jindaiji Temple, which supported the Wallabies’ woeful World Cup, is situated in the Tokyo suburb of Chofu, location of the Aussies’ group stage loss against Wales on September 29 that effectively derailed their campaign on the field. Jindaiji had proudly displayed Wallabies jerseys…
