Tackerはオージー英語の数多く「子供」を示す言葉の一つだ。
Tackerはほとんどの場合littleが接頭詞が使われているが、なくても十分に通じる。

Heapsは象徴的なオージー英語の一つと言えるだろう。オージー英語ではよく使われている言葉であるが、強調する役割しかなく特に意味が深くない。普通の英語のThank you very muchを砕けて言うとThanks a lotと言える。さら、Thanks a lotをオージー英語に「変身」するとThanks heapsと言う。ちなみに、lotとheapsのいずれも「多く」や「積み重なる」と言う意味だ。

Modern Japanese is filled with examples of borrowed words from foreign languages, which are known as gairaigo. “G’day” is probably widely known throughout Japan as a symbol of Australian English, but there are some even more uniquely Australian words that have also made their way into Japanese. 現代の日本語は、外国語を由来とする、いわゆる外来語が多く、オージー英語から来ている言葉もその例外ではない。日本では「グッダイ」が、オージー英語の典型的な例としてよくあげられるが、実際に日常生活の中でもオーストラリア先住民語が使われているという事実がある。

Kangaroo Boxing Club KO’d (…A Few Years Ago Now, But…)
Kangaroo Boxing Club was a pub in the Columbia Heights district of Washington D.C. Apparently, it specialized in showing gridiron games and barbecues. The pub shut its doors several years ago, and is now an upmarket bistro. The pub operated from 2012-2016.
