　オーストラリアの数多く毒グモの中では最も危険性が高いファネルウェブスパイダーを一般住民が捕まるように全豪唯一抗毒素を製造する動物保護パークが呼びかけている、とオーストラリア放送協会が３日付報道した。
　オーストラリアで最も人口が多い都市シドニー周辺の繁殖・活動を中心とするファネルウェブスパイダーの抗毒素在庫が極めて少ない状態にある、と全国唯一製造するオーストラリアは虫類パークのジューリー・メンデゾナ氏がいう。
　「非常に危険ですので、普段ファネルウェブスパイダーを見れば近づかないように呼びかけるが、抗毒素がほとんどなくなっているので、捕まえるチャンスがあれば、ぜひ捕まえるようにお願いしたいと思っています」と同氏が言う。
　ファネルウェブスパイダーに噛まれたら数時間以内死亡するケースが珍しくない。
　オーストラリアではファネルウェブスパイダーが世界で最も危険な毒グモと見られている。

    Goodbye Possums…

    Barry Humphries, the creator of characters such as Dame Edna Everage – the Moonee Ponds housewife famous for her flamboyance and shouted greeting of “Hello Possums” – Sir Les Patterson and Sandy Stone, and himself an entertainer and icon of Straya in many parts of the world, has passed away.
