日豪の絆、投資で次の50年へ！経済安全保障で新連携

日豪初の戦略金融協力覚書

オーストラリアと日本が、戦略的投資と経済安全保障で連携を深める新たな一歩を踏み出した。両国政府は、初となる共同戦略金融協力覚書に署名し、重要分野への投資を後押しする枠組みを設けた。

Australia and Japan have taken a new step towards closer economic cooperation. Their governments have signed their first joint strategic financing memorandum, creating a framework for investment and economic security.

エネルギーから重要鉱物まで

この覚書に基づく初の取り組みとして、東京のオーストラリア大使館で日豪戦略的投資ネットワーク・フォーラムが開催された。両国の政策、金融、貿易・投資促進に関わる19機関が参加し、エネルギー安全保障、重要鉱物、戦略インフラなどで協力を進める方法を話し合った。

The Australian Embassy in Tokyo hosted the first Strategic Investment Networking Forum under the new agreement. Representatives from 19 organisations discussed cooperation on energy security, critical minerals and strategic infrastructure.

日豪の強みを組み合わせる

オーストラリアの資源、日本の技術や産業基盤、両国の金融力を組み合わせれば、供給網の強化や多様化につながる。協力の対象は両国内にとどまらず、インド太平洋地域の第三国への投資にも広がる可能性がある。

Australia’s natural resources and Japan’s technology and industrial strengths offer complementary advantages. Joint investment could diversify supply chains and support projects across both countries and the wider Indo-Pacific.

日豪関係といえば、資源や貿易、エネルギーがまず思い浮かぶ。今回の覚書は、両国が資金や専門知識を持ち寄り、共通の課題に取り組む関係へと進んでいることを示している。大切なのは、覚書や会議を実際の投資と成果につなげることだ。

Robert James Lee “Bob” Hawke died earlier this week, just two days before his beloved Australian Labor Party is expected to re-take office in the May 18 federal election following six years of misrule by an incompetent Liberal–National Party coalition government.     今では数多くスーパーなどがオーストラリアの代表的なお菓子「ティムタム」ビスケットを並んでおり、すっかり日本人に馴染んでいると言っても過言ではないと思う。 しかし、幅広い年代に愛されているようになっても、チョコレートで包めているお菓子である「ティムタム」がオーストラリアの最も美味しいビスケットでもない可能性がある。 もしかして、同ビスケットを生産するアーノッツ・ビスケット の冠商品でもないという人もいる。アーノツがオーストラリアの量産ビスケット市場の圧倒的シェアを持つが、美味しさだけを考慮して以下のビスケットが「ティムタム」という勝負出来ると思う。同社がこれら以上にたくさんブランドを作っているが、「ティムタム」に次ぐ日本での販売権を保有しているキャンベルジャパン株式会社を売ってほしいと提案したいです。 「チョコレートロイヤルズ」はカリカリなビスケットにマーシュメロ（ミルクがダークチョコ味）が乗っかってチョコレートにかけられている絶妙なビッキーだ！ そして、ミント・クリーム入りビスケットがチョコレートに挟んでいるアッサリ味の「ミントスライス」もあす。 「モンテカルロ」は、2枚のビスケットでクリーム状のフィリングを挟んでいる。ビスケットはゴールデンシロップ、蜂蜜、ココナッツの味がし、クリームはバニラ風味のクリームフィリングで、ラズベリージャムの薄いタフィーのようなコーティングで囲まれている。「チョコレートモンテ」もあり、普通のビスケットがチョコがかけたもの。 「キングストンズ」は「モンテカルロ」に似ているが、一回り小さく厚い上、クリームがチョコ味で贅沢な味。美味しくて食べ応えがある。 「キャラメルクラウンズ」が甘いキャラメルクリーム入りビスケットがチョコレートに包まれている。美味しくてしょうがない！ でも、なんと言っても、「ティムタム」の最大ライバルは「アイスドヴォヴォ」だね。小麦粉のビスケットにピンクのフォンダンを2枚のせ、ラズベリージャムをはさみ、ココナッツをまぶした。 これを読んでも、「やっぱり、ティムタムがいいなぁ」という方に、歴代「ティムタム」味は、以下の通りです。Original, Chewy Choc Fudge, Chewy Caramel, Mocha Coffee, Double Coat, Chilli Choc Fling, Tia Maria, Classic Dark, Creamy Truffle Temptation, Black Forest Fantasy, Hazelnut Praline, Love Potion, Red Velvet, Butterscotch and Cream, Choc Orange, Strawberries and Cream, White, Gluten Free, JatzとDark Choc Espresso Martini 。そして、デラックスシリーズであるCafe Latte, Decadent Triple Choc, Salted Caramel Brownie and TimTam ChocMint. 日本で販売されているコアな商品は7種類のようです。ここでは、日本で主に販売されている7種類について紹介。ティムタムオリジナル…オーストラリアでNo.1の商品。チョコクリームで挟まれたビスケットがチョコレートでコーティングされた商品です。ティムタム チューイカラメル…カラメルクリームサンドのビスケットをさらにチョコレートでコーティングした商品です。ティムタム ダブルコート…チョコクリームで挟んだビスケットをさらにチョコレートで全体をコーティングした商品です。ティムタム ダーク…ビターチョコレートを使用しているので、甘さ控えめな商品です。ティムタム ホワイト…ティムタムオリジナルのホワイトバージョン。ミルククリームが甘い香りです。ティムタム チョコミント…ミントクリームで挟んだ商品。チョコミント好きにはたまりませんね。ティムタム マレーリバー ソルティッドカラメル…フレークソルトがクリームに練りこまれた商品です。甘じょっぱさが癖になりそうです。 せっかく日本で販売しているだから日本独特な味を出してほしいよなぁ。「お寿司ティムタム」とか、「ラーメンティムタム」のような味はいかがでしょうか？おかしいと思ったら、以前考えRoo.comで取り上げたようにオーストラリアでは独特な野菜エキスで疲れれているペーストヴェジマイト味「ティムタム」があって「ブリティッシュ・コレクション」の「ティムタム」シリーズの味はフィッシュアンドチップスとバンガーズ＆マッシュを含めた。 ああ、、、おなかすいた！
