    Heapsは象徴的なオージー英語の一つと言えるだろう。オージー英語ではよく使われている言葉であるが、強調する役割しかなく特に意味が深くない。普通の英語のThank you very muchを砕けて言うとThanks a lotと言える。さら、Thanks a lotをオージー英語に「変身」するとThanks heapsと言う。ちなみに、lotとheapsのいずれも「多く」や「積み重なる」と言う意味だ。
