物価が高い・サービスが悪い、、、豪観光産業後退の原因：豪政府報告書

　オーストラリア観光産業はこの10年間成長が後退している。豪公共機関「豪州観光研究所」によれば、その理由は物価が高い上にサービスも悪く、オーストラリアは観光地としての魅力が下がったからだと、シドニー・モーニング・ヘラルドが27日に伝えている。

    Tets-J Doing a Dinkum Bewdy of a Job Spreading Indigenous Aussie Culture in Japan

    Tets-J is one of the great unsung heroes promoting Australian culture in Japan, and he’s even more remarkable for advancing indigenous Aussie culture. Tets-J learned about the didgeridoo while staying in Melbourne, taught himself how to play, then returned to Australia’s Arnhem Land and studied under Djalu Gurruwiwi, a master didgeridoo player and member of the Yolngu people.     豪州ど真ん中にあるBig Galah

    豪キャブラリー： Bluey

    Blueyは形容詞として使えばあまりいい感じじゃない。それは、場所が「殴り合いが始まりそう」のような雰囲気になったからなのだ。 　ちなみに、blueは青色を示すが動詞として使えばオージー英語では「喧嘩」や「殴り合い」という意味になる。そして、blue heelerというオーストラリア産牧犬の省略もblueyという。また、さらに名詞として使うとオージー英語のもうひとつな独特な面白さが見える。それは皮肉たっぷりなニックネームとして赤毛の人に使われている。「赤い」と「青」があまりにも離れているから使うニックネームだ。
