豪キャブラリー：Black Stump
Black stumpは「長距離」を示すために使われているストライン（オージー英語）。同義語Whoop Whoopもある。 Example: We drove past the black stump and knew we were out in the bloody middle of nowhere. 例：「俺たちはブラックスタンプを通り過ぎて、本当に何もない場所に来たと分かった。」
豪キャブラリー：Mongrel
Mongrelの意味がオージー英語ではたくさんあるが、今日の場合は「短期」や「怒りっぽい」に集中しよう。 Mongrelの由来は雑種犬という意味だ。良い風に言うと「ガッツ」とか「負けず嫌い」というような感じを示すが、悪くいうと「頼りにならない」ような意味もあり、褒めるも軽蔑もどちらかに使えるので、そういう意味では特に役に立つ言葉のひとつかもしれない。しかし、ほとんどの場合、言われたら嬉しくない言葉だね。
豪キャブラリー： True blue
True blueほどオージーらしいオージー英語はない。 その理由は、true blueが愛国心という意味だ。特にオーストラリアに関する愛国心。「本格的」と言う意味もある。 Dinky diと意味が近いし、強調するために同時で共に使うこともある。 これも参考になるかもしれない。
