Abo

Abo is an archaic and derogatory word for indigenous Australians, deriving from the equally obsolete aboriginal. This is a deeply offensive word and shouldn’t be used, but it is. So we provide it here for educational purposes.

Cop A Gander At These Rippers Too...

  • Banana bender/

Banana bender Australian English A Queenslander, a resident or native of the state of Queensland. The name derives from the large amount of tropic fruit production in the state, as well as being a gentle jibe at Queenslanders for the perception that they are “slow” because of the regional accent and the state’s traditional conservativeness. Some Queenslanders, particularly from the countryside, speak with a slow, broad accent and many end sentences with the intonated question “eh?” This is the most distinctive of any regional Australian accent. Plain English Queenslander. I was still in the nuddy, so I slipped on some grundies. I went to light up a durry, but I’d run out and had to have a rollie. It was perfect weather and I wondered if the blokes from out Woop-Woop would be into having a barbie and lairing it up with me in Brizzie, the Big Smoke.

そして、ビックモア氏が29日付にこの発言を、、、 「Virgin is targeting key corporate routes, hoping to win over Cuntas, er, excuse me, Qantas customers…」

  • Tinned Food

Tinned food is the Strine for food, or tucker, in a can. Like most forms of English that derive from British English, Strine prefers using tin over can, but both words are understood to mean the same thing.
