    多くの人にとってオーストラリアのイメージはきれいな海、暖かさ、変な動物などいろいろある。確かにこれらもあるけれど、実際に行ってみれば最も目立つのがハエの数だ。特にシーズンの夏。ハエが半端じゃない。そして、小さくてかわいいハエじゃなくて大きくウザいハエだ。この大きなハエがblowfyと呼ばれ、オージー英語らしく言葉が省略されblowieというニックネーム（皮肉ネーム？）が付いている。
