Coathangerは、オージー英語の中では驚くほど多くの使い方がある。当然、英・米語と同じように「ハンガー」という意味に加えて「腕を伸ばして逆方向から来ている人を意図的にぶつける」という使い方も（主にスポーツ）ある。
