After a magnificently enjoyable week off that followed a month of working from home with little external pressure, the return to reality has been more unsettling than resuming the settling effects of routine.
I guess the passage of time will make things easier.
It has been pretty hectic in some ways, nonetheless.

Just getting back to commuting, using the sometimes unfriendly ticket vending machines, packing myself into the train carriage with thousands of others, and then the grueling trip downtown where each stop means even more commuters cramming in with us.

Getting into the office, I was rewarded with a swag full of company merch!
Work has eased me back into reality by not being overly strenuous.

I’m taking the opportunity provided by the slow time to study.
Tuesday night I needed to visit the dentist for periodontal care.

And then earlier this morning it was off to the doctor again to see whether my weight loss efforts are paying off.

Turns out that my kindey function might be a bit shonky. Bloody hell.
My work evaluation was a low-key affair and my boss said the company is pleased with my performance.

I, meanwhile, am delighted by the performance of Mrs. Kangaeroo, who is single-handedly nurturing Dino back to health. Our rosy faced lovebird has pooped twice this week, the first time in months for her to excrete unaided.

With nothing holding me back, I headed out for a lunchtime ride and was delighted to be hit by a downpour. The rain didn’t end giving our garden a much-needed water. But I did get some awesome shots of a reflective bike path.

- Spring-Heeled Spring is such a delight in Japan. One reason for that is the blooming of cherry blossoms. - Waking Up Early Helps Dreams Come True I don’t want to sound like I’m virtue signaling or anything like that, but my experience has been that the more active I am in the early morning, the greater the likelihood that I’ll gee myself up into being a decent person and go about making the most of the...

- Warming Up After yesterday’s spectacular start and the promise of a 20-degree day, I woke with great expectations of another brilliant beginning. - Strewth!
